RS HERO: TENACIOUS TINO
Empathetic Emma was sitting in the park, gazing at the sky; suddenly tears welled her eyes and trickled down her cheeks. She was thinking of what happened in the past. She was a cheerful girl who loved being with people but that had changed in last two months. She was very fond of piano and was talking regular lessons, she was proud of how soon she picked up the skill. She volunteered to play at the school assembly. She had practiced well and was standing in the stage and beamed at her friends. She started playing very fast to impress her friends; suddenly she got distracted and fumbled and then dropped her keyboard in a hurry. All the students gathered there, laughed and she felt very embarrassed. She did not want to talk to anybody about it. She would over think every action and would not answer in class and not participate in games because she was scared, she might do something wrong and would be laughed at. She was replaying the incident when suddenly a silhouette appeared and screamed Hellloooooo!
She jumped up with a start and wiped her tears, there was a boy standing wearing red football jersey and smiling at her. He said “Hi, I am Tino, my friends call me Tenacious Tino”, I am new to this colony please can you join with me and let’s play football. Emma was hesitant as she didn’t know how to play football, but Tino begged her and said he would teach her. They both started playing every day in evening time, it was fun, slowly all the other kids in the park joined in. With time they all became good friends and Emma was feeling better. Empathetic Emma told Tino about her piano experience at school, he laughed at it and said its fine Emma! it would have looked funny even if I had dropped the keyboard, at least you made someone laugh. He consoled her saying sometimes in spite of trying our best we might make mistakes, but we should not get stuck on that for long. We have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves and go on. He suggested to her to practice more in her keyboard and enjoy it. She practised every day and got better than before, and then with the encouragement of her friends, she enrolled for a keyboard competition. She went and played with all her energy and by the end felt very happy and victorious. All her friends especially Tenacious Tino cheered for her. She had overcome her fears! She realised that it is okay to make mistakes, but one should learn from it. Also, that we should not only be kind to others but also to ourselves. She being Empathetic Emma made sure to help anyone in need and especially overcome their fears.
